Study in Korea (D-2 Visa Path)

Guide eligible students through the study route with Seoyeoung University and Gwangju government.

About the Program

The newly implemented D-2 visa under the Regional Pilot Program is similar to the
existing D-2 visa, allowing international students to study at Korean universities and subsequently seek employment. However, it offers special benefits:

  • Visa recommendation letter issued by the local government
  • Opportunity to be employed in a related field upon graduation
  • Reduced burden for bank balance proof (approximately USD11,000 -> USD6,000)

These advantages make it more favorable than the existing D-2 visa.

This pilot program is supported by Gwangju Metropolitan City, one of Korea’s five major metropolitan areas. Students study for two years at Seoyeoung University, renowned for its Department of Future Automotive Engineering.

Upon graduation, they have the opportunity to be employed at DH Group, a leading automotive parts manufacturer located in Gwangju. To ensure smooth coordination, Lanseoul Labs, an educational IT company in Sri Lanka, utilizes the GIVER’S platform to meet the requirements of all stakeholders.

This program aims to enroll 60 students for the second semester of 2025, with
approximately 5 slots reserved for Sri Lankan students. The curriculum focuses on the Department of Future Automotive Engineering.

Detailed course information can be found on Seoyeoung University’s official website: https://www.seoyeong.ac.kr/globalsy_eng/main.do

Seoyeoung University and DH Group prioritize the following criteria when selecting

  • Sincerity in academics and a strong will to adapt to Korean life
  • High school graduate (including prospective graduates)

DH Global Group is a listed automotive parts manufacturing group on KOSDAQ,

internships and employment opportunities to graduates of the program.
